Transcending into thoughts

Have you ever rubbed your eyes so much that you are plunged into a euphoric tornado of black and white swirls? Zoned out during a conversation? Or just generally lost in your thoughts? Well fellow daydreamer, this is a blog that celebrates that particular, unique characteristic of being human. Zoning out is bliss. A minute of thinking where our vision and hearing blur and we are lost in our mind. In this one minute of absolute silence, we think about mundane things. "Why do ants move in a line?", "Why are stairs rectangular?", "Is our universe just a dust particle on a pile of books?" Random thoughts that sometimes entertain you, sometimes make you laugh and sometimes make you feel sad.

The art of being observant is the greatest tool to survival. Just think of all the times you collect information about a person and contemplate ways to interact with them. We see outer details that almost everyone sees, but, what about the small and unnoticed knick-knacks we ignore. We consider them worthless because we are not attracted by their usefulness. For example, I'll consider my water bottle, there are ridges on its cap. I have been using this water bottle for the last 3 years, but did I notice the design or these ridges for any reason? No. Just think of the designer that must have put in hours designing this particular bottle design. You may ask me, "Why waste time and think so deeply about all these small, petite and unremarkable details?" I ask you, Why not? Isn't thinking the gift that separates us from the rest of the species on this planet?

I believe that every unimportant object has an unbelievable story that deserves to be thought about, because they EXIST. I aspire to share my thoughts about everyday things that catch my attention. I want people to relate and have fun while reading my blog, but also contemplate about the little things. Let the observing begin!
